The Diploma of Management addresses the core leadership competencies required of managers in today’s commercial environment. It is particularly appropriate for those with operational or technical backgrounds, who are now tasked with the managing of others. It is also an excellent learning platform for newly promoted staff and a valuable accessory for the more experienced manager. Blending theory with practice, this qualification focuses on workplace learning and development to ensure situational relevance. This qualification is designed for individuals with managerial responsibilities in an operational context. These managers regularly oversee the work of others, or perform specialised roles that require applied operational leadership. COURSE STRUCTURE

The Diploma of Management is delivered by industry specialist trainers and assessors in 5 x full day workshops scheduled over a period of nine months. This approach allows student’s sufficient time between sessions to undertake self-directed learning, workplace projects, on the job evidence gathering and out-of-class assessment activities. Workshops involve participants in active discussion, problem-solving exercises, context specific simulation scenarios, networking opportunities, and realistic presentations related to building the skills and experience necessary for leading and managing staff, operating projects, developing personnel and the safety and risk management of facilities.

PREREQUISITES

There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification.

Preferred pathways for candidates considering the Diploma of Management include:

  • [BSB40807] Certificate IV in Frontline Management or other relevant qualification
  • Demonstrated competency in a majority of units required for the [BSB40807] Cert IV in Frontline Management (or other) Vocational experience, but without a formal management qualification

COURSES FEES AND PAYMENT OPTIONS

This qualification has a course fee of $3,999 payable in one of two ways:
A single payment of the course fee attracts a 10% DISCOUNT, making the total fee $3,599 payable within the first 4 weeks of enrolment.

An upfront enrolment fee of $499 and 5 x $700 paid each month for five consecutive months. The total course fee is therefore $3,999.

GOVERNMENT FUNDING & INCENTIVES

At both state and federal level, the Government’s commitment to upskilling the Australian workforce has resulted in a comprehensive framework of funding schemes and incentive opportunities. As a result, many SIG participants find that their courses are often heavily subsidized. As part of the Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program, employers could receive up to $4,000 per $3,999 they outlay for every eligible employee who enrolls.

PAYROLL TAX EXEMPTION
