Parking:
Free Parking is available within the grounds of the Ray Mancini Academy.

Course requirements:
Students are required to bring a valid driver’s license or passport Provide evidence of previous firearms experience and/or range experience Completion of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (deriable)

Dress code:
Students are required to wear tactical pants or good comfortable pants with large belt loops.

You must also bring a strong belt suitable for wearing holsters and mag pouches.

Closed comfortable shoes or boots (footwear must be suitable for rapid movement and turning).

It is a requirement that students wear a T-shirt and bring a baseball cap.

Course details:
The Firearms Instructor course will consist of both theoretical and practical training, with a strong focus on the following:

  • Firearms safety
  • Fundamentals of marksmanship
  • Choosing and selecting the right firearms
  • Selecting carry equipment and duty gear
  • Presentation of the firearm from the holster
  • Defensive pistol marksmanship fundamentals
  • Close proximity shooting techniques
  • One- Handed Operations
  • Multiple shot techniques
  • Identification and utilisation of cover and concealment
  • Overview of alternative carry techniques
  • Utilisation of force in self- defence, both lethal and less lethal
  • Use of force
  • Advanced shooting techniques
  • Physiology of shooting
  • Preparing and teaching new students
  • Point shooting techniques

All students are expected to act with respect and integrity within the training facility. Our well experienced trainers will be more than happy to work with you each step of the way to help you achieve an enhanced learning experience.
