PVC tampon, coated in haemostatic dressing. Highly useful in controlling nasal bleeding, as part of First Aid treatment.
BleedSolv Haemostatic Nasal Haemostatic Dressing is utilised to help control the bleed through a 3 stage, step-by step process, contributing to the breakdown of carbohydrates and water. Ease of application contributes to the versatility, and ease – of use of this product.
This form of dressing is also suitable for individuals with the following conditions:
- Haemophilia A
- Haemophilia B
- Haemophilia C
- Von Willebrand’s disease
- Thrombcytopenia
- Disseminated intravascular coagulation of DIC (Inability for clotting to occur, at a particular wound site)
The process of application is as follows: Insert the tampon, add 1-2 mls of saline, and thus the swollen tampon carries the haemostatic material against the damaged capillaries in the nose.
The tampons can also be easily removed by a civilian, bystander or law enforcement professional.
