Kim Meakins

Kim Meakins is our Lead Security Operations Trainer. Kim has a long working history in different areas and roles that requires him to have a wide range of abilities including highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. He has managed and led staff in the Federal Public Service for over 20 years. Kim has also worked as a lecturer at Edith Cowan University (ECU) for over 4 years and instructed tertiary students in the skills associated with negotiation, communication, critical thinking and presentation of information.

The security industry has always been an area of research, general interest and personal involvement for him. He has worked in security and crowd control over many years and have seen extensive modernising, improvement and changes to the nature and organisation of security work since the introduction of licensing. Kim currently works in crowd control, along with crowd control roles at licensed venues and public events; he has provided security services to both small and large private corporations.
